The Société Française de Nutrition (SFN) is the co-organizer of the ICN next year. It is a learned society organized as an association under the 1901 law, recognized as being of public utility, which thinks about nutrition in a transdisciplinary and sustainable way. It is thus a place for exchanges between all disciplines relating to food and nutrition both at the national and international levels. It brings together experts from the public and private sectors whose dialogue leads to advances in public health.

To meet its objectives, the SFN :
– publishes the first French-speaking Nutrition journal, «Cahiers de Nutrition et de Diététique», a bimonthly peer-reviewed journal
– organizes, with the Société Francophone Nutrition Clinique et Métabolisme (SFNCM), the «Journées Francophones de Nutrition» (JFN), which constitutes the unmissable annual meeting for all French-speaking Nutrition stakeholders
– organizes «SFN Schools» and Workshops which are training sessions lasting one or more days around specific themes (open to all)
– broadcasts news and innovative work in the field of Nutrition through its website and its Newsletter
– financially supports original research projects in Nutrition through the annual award of one or more Research Prizes
– grants Travel Grants to young researchers to encourage them to present their research work in Nutrition at national and international conferences
– represents France before several international bodies including FENS and IUNS
– participates in institutional working groups
– organizes joint meetings with other Nutrition Societies and
– is part of the Organizing Committee of N4G (Nutrition for Growth), which will be held in Paris in March 2025
