IUNS Early Career Travel Grant: Applications Open

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Early Career Travel Grants to attend the 23rd International Congress of Nutrition (IUNS-ICN), scheduled from August 24 to 29, 2025, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France. This prestigious event, organized by THE FRENCH SOCIETY OF NUTRITION AND THE FRENCH FEDERATION OF NUTRITION on behalf of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS), will convene global experts to discuss the theme “Sustainable Food for Global Health”.

Grant Overview: The Early Career Travel Grants aim to support emerging researchers and professionals in the field of nutritional sciences, facilitating their participation in this significant congress. Recipients will receive financial assistance to cover registration to the congress, travel and accommodation expenses. 

Please note:  Travel grants are available to applicants  worldwide. Grant recipients will be selected from the pool of accepted poster and oral abstract submissions. You can submit your application before receiving your abstract acceptance notice. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Be within 10 years of graduation from their most recent degree. 
  • Have an accepted abstract (oral or poster) to the  IUNS-ICN 2025
  • Provide a  supporting letter  from an official at their IUNS Adhering Body, university, or research centre. 
  • Provide  proof of conference registration  and a valid  visa to enter France  (where applicable) before the grant is awarded. 

Application Procedure: 

To apply, please prepare and submit the following documents via the  online application platform

  1. A copy of your submitted abstract
  1. A supporting letter from one of the following: 
  • IUNS Adhering Body (President, Chair or Secretary) 
  • University (Head of Department) 
  • Research Centre (Head of Department) 
  1. Confirmation of abstract acceptance (If you are beginning an application form before abstract acceptance is announced, you can submit it, you will be asked to return to the form to attach the abstract acceptance when available) 

Application Deadline: All application materials must be submitted by 21 April, 2025.

The IUNS-ICN will take place in Paris, France from Sunday, 24 August to Friday, 29 August 2025, with the theme “Sustainable Food for Global Health”.

ICN 2025 will take place from 24 – 29 August 2025 in Paris, France. Early Bird Registration is open from 17 December 2024. The Early Bird preferential rate applies to all new registrations received by midnight on 12 May 2025 (CET).

The regular rate will apply from 13 May 2025 (CET). A special rate is applicable for participants from Low and Lower-Middle Income Countries on the World Bank’s official list. Check the ICN 2025 official website for different registration fee categories!
