Second International NIN Centenary Conference: ALIGNING FOOD SYSTEMS FOR HEALTHY DIETS AND IMPROVED NUTRITION

The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) Hyderabad is the oldesat Institute of the Indian Council of Medical research, under the aegis of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. NIN has reached the threshold of its 100 years milestone (1918 – 2018). What started as a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute in Conoor, Tamil Nadu to its picturesque abode in Hyderabad, Telangana State is dotted with several interesting turns and events. Under every circumstance, NIN has always been at the forefront of nutrition research driving policy actions for improving nutrition outcomes in the country.
NIN are celebrating their centenary year (2017 -18) with several activities under the theme “Empowering the nation through nutrition”. At the close of the Centenary year, NIN is organising the Second International NIN centenary conference with the theme “Aligning food systems for healthy diets and improved nutrition”. The conference will take place from 11 – 13 November, 2018 at the NIN Auditorium, Hyderabad, India. This Conference is intended for students, researchers, industry professionals and regulators with an interest in the changing food system and its impact on health and nutrition.
