IUNS Lifetime Achievement Awards are given to an individual for outstanding contributions to nutrition of regional or global significance working in a developing country.

Nominations:

Nominations must demonstrate the candidate to have made:

1. Significantly influenced national, regional or global policy;
2. Made a significant contribution that has influenced life and well-being; or
3. Their work in the research field significantly impacted the work of nutrition science.

Nominations must include:

1. A completed online application form
2. A brief description of how the nominee has significantly influenced national, regional, or global policies. Highlight how their contributions have improved quality of life and well-being, especially in nutrition science and research.
3. Include any outstanding qualities or achievements of the nominee that make them a strong candidate for the Lifetime Award.
4. List of Publications including DOI, where available.

Current IUNS Council members are not eligible for the IUNS Awards.

Adhering Bodies in good standing are eligible to nominate candidates. If you are unsure about your status, please contact the IUNS Secretariat.

The awards are assessed by an Awards Committee appointed by the President of IUNS. The committee represent different regions and remains anonymous. They will consider all eligible candidates and recommend one candidate to the President for this award.
