Nutrition 2023, the American Society for Nutrition conference returns to Boston, Massachusetts this year. This varied conference covers multiple nutrition topics and opportunities for career development and networking, taking place from July 22nd-25th at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

11TH OCEANIAFOODS CONFERENCE
Pacific Harbour, Fiji
10th – 11th August 2023
August sees the 11th OCEANIAFOODS conference taking place in Fiji. The theme of the conference is Biodiversity and Food Composition in Oceania.

OCEANIAFOODS is the Pacific regional operation of INFOODS (the International Network of Food Data Systems) which is a worldwide network of food composition experts aiming to improve the quality, availability, reliability, and use of food composition data. Food composition data is needed to properly underpin not just public health and individual health care, but many areas of public policy, including the environment, sustainability, food security, and agriculture. Countries under the umbrella of OCEANIAFOODS are Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Communities (SPC, formerly the South Pacific Commission), which represents 22 Pacific Island governments. The conference features IUNS Council member, Professor Barbara Burlingame as a keynote speaker.

Chengdu, China
14th – 17th September 2023
The 14th Asian Congress of Nutrition takes place in Chengdu, China from 14th – 17th September 2023. Organised by the Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies (FANS) and the Chinese Nutrition Society with support from IUNS. The theme of the congress is “Feeding the Future by Sustainable Nutrition”.
Featured speakers include members of the IUNS Council, Dr Lynnette Neufeld, Professor Dr Hyun-Sook Kim, Professor Rubina Hakeem and past president of IUNS Professor J. Alfredo Martinez.
Regular registration closes on 15th July 2023.

THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM: DIETARY PROTEIN FOR HUMAN HEALTH
Utrecht, the Netherlands
14th –16th September 2023
This three-day symposium takes place in Utrecht, the Netherlands starting on the 14th of September and will include presentations and discussions on protein nutrition and health; amino acid requirements; amino acid digestibility and availability; dietary protein quality, including PDCAAS and DIAAS; the influence of protein quality; influence of protein quality on growth and development and on whole-body protein metabolism; protein and future food sustainability.
The symposium is jointly organised by Wageningen University, the Riddet Institute and FAO and in cooperation with IAEA.

MICRONUTRIENT FORUM 6TH GLOBAL CONFERENCE (NUTRITION FOR RESILIENCE)

The twentieth SLAN congress will delve into multidisciplinary approaches to overcoming the challenges of achieving sustainable and inclusive nutrition solutions. SLAN congresses focus on the generation and application of nutrition science to improve and maintain optimal nutrition conditions for the population of Latin America. Around the themes: nutrition through the life cycle, food systems and production, environments and behaviour, public politics, clinical nutrition, promotion and prevention
Keynote sessions include “Advances in Definitions and Data to Inform Effective Actions” by IUNS President, Dr Lynnette Neufeld.

Dakar, Senegal
19th -24th November 2023
Early bird registration is open until 31st July 2023.
The conference theme is a Multisectoral approach to strengthening food systems and achieving sustainable nutrition targets in Africa and will be delivered through plenary and parallel symposia focused on 14 subthemes.

An exciting schedule of pre-conference and post-conference workshops will take place on 19th and 24th of November 2023.
