State Chapters of the Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN) commemorated World Hypertension Day 2026 through community outreach, public awareness campaigns, media engagement, health screenings, and professional education programs. The coordinated activities reinforced the role of nutrition professionals and multi-sector partnerships in promoting hypertension prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyles across Nigeria.

German Nutrition Society – Linking Health, Environment and Dietary Intake in Optimised Food-Based Dietary Guidelines

The DGE’s food-based dietary guidelines for Germany, “Eat and drink well”, and the updated nutrition circle were published in March 2024. A methodological paper in Food & Nutrition Research introduces a multi-objective diet optimisation model incorporating human health, environmental impact, and observed dietary intake, forming the basis for FBDG optimisation.
